Energy of the Week
The Death Card
Two cards came out as I meditated on the collective energy of the week.
This major arcana card represents spiritual transformation which entails an ending of something to make room for a new beginning. Life is full of unexpected transitions.
Don't think too literally on this one; the "ending" usually refers to a mindset or belief system, negative habits or addictions, toxic relationships or unfulfilling career. If it's ending then you can be sure it's the right time. The Death card has a similar energy to The Tower card which also signifies an abrupt shift in your life--the change can be foundational, systemic, emotional, spiritual and physical. If you've been practicing self-awareness, you may have a good idea of what in your life needs restructuring or ending. Be open to the changes, however uncomfortable it may be, as it will all be for the evolution of your life and purpose. Perhaps the shift is carrying you to calmer, more stable waters.
Page of Swords
The Page in any of the suits represents young, youthful energy. It's the optimistic beginner ready to set out into the world his newfound thoughts and ideas. Swords are a symbol of the mind, beliefs, communication, technology, and strategies. This makes sense accompanied by with The Death Card. As one idea or system dismantles, a new one emerges. This is the birth of new mental energy ready to be put into action. But notice the young man is holding the sword with both hands, not quite stable in his abilities yet, although eager to start cutting heads and taking names! When we are implementing new beliefs and ways of communication, the approach won't be perfect. Expect mistakes, mishaps, a nice learning curve. But keep going anyway! It will take time to get in the right rhythm. There are multiple laws of the universe at play.
Call to Action:
Observe the areas in your life (internally and externally) that need to end. Where does the chapter need to close so the new one can start? There are major mental shifts happening for the collective, and the energy has been potent and draining for many. Take time to rest, reflect, and recharge as often as possible to maintain your strength through these transitions. Keep a journal of what comes up for you emotionally each day. What are the discomforts? How do you feel? If you feel any panic or unrest, do a breathing exercise with your hand over your heart. Be present.
